Got my first taste of summer today. This salad is what I eat all summer. I happily eat this salad for lunch and dinner for weeks. The pure version is:
Two parts tomato
Two parts cucumber
One part red onion
lemon juice, salt.
Dice vegetables, mix.
I'd be happy if that were all I ever ate, but because I am training for a weightlifting competition on Sept 14th because I fell for peer pressure even though I hate competing so I need extra protein, I put in a can of garbanzos. Then, since I wasn't having the pure version of the salad anyway, I added yogurt and fresh basil.
Then I ate it and was completely happy, especially since I grew the tomatoes and cucumbers my own self and my friend gave me the lemons (although I like it better when she gives me lemons in the form of fruity beverages to get a girl tipsy). That is what summer tastes like. The end.
